Tim Fary Jr, Director
Originally from Yorktown, Virginia, Mr. Fary graduated from Grafton High School and moved his studies to Fairfax, Virginia where he attended George Mason University. Over the four years he found many great mentors including Anthony Maiello(Conducting), Kenny Rittenhouse(Trumpet) and Jim Carroll(Jazz Ensemble). Upon graduating, Mr. Fary accepted the Director of Performing Arts position at Mathews High School where he remained for 3.5 years instructing the concert and marching bands, string orchestra, choir, and jazz ensembles. He also taught Drama courses and co-directed the play “Almost Maine”. Mr. Fary served as a fife instructor with the Fifes & Drums of Yorktown and freelances with Field Musick Virginia seasonally. Beginning in 2022, Mr. Fary accepted the Director of Bands position at Warhill High School where he oversees the marching, concert, and jazz bands as well as the percussion ensemble. Over the course of his career, Mr. Fary has earned excellent and superior ratings with all groups and directed Warhill to Virginia Honor Band status in 22-23 & 24-25.
